for OP, I can't speak for the taco specific but borla, flowmaster and magnaflow are all pretty good. I personally have only really owned borla or full custom set ups. But have plenty of friends with the others and all seem good to me.

I would suggest looking into a custom shop though about getting a relocate done as the current exhaust runs in a stupid spot.
Surprised no one has made a relocate kit yet

I had the magnaflow system for a little bit and ended up selling it. Partly because it was louder than expected (but sounded good), but mostly because I'd rather have had the money I spent on it for something else.

It made no noticeable increase in power, and my truck still shifted poorly after I installed it (auto). The quality of the system was very good though, installed in about 45 mins too. Very nice piece over all if you don't have unrealistic expectations.

I don't have a MagnaFlow Exhaust System, but I have an aftermarket MBRP exhaust catback system. Got it installed at my local shop and in my opinion it sounds really great. When cruising it's not as aggressive and quiets down. Of course when i'm accelerating it's pretty darn loud and aggressive and when I push it down pretty hard it opens up and sounds great. I attached a video of it below if y'all are interested.

It's really no closer than the stock exhaust was to the spare, but I guess time will tell...

No, the I sprayed the pipes black.

I've never been able to get a good video of the sound - hard to do while driving with no passengers, never think to do it when I do have one. I'll see if I can get one this weekend though.

That'd be awesome man even just a start up with some revs from the outside would be great.
