For some reason, the older I get, the more I dislike Ford. Coming from a GM/Ford family in the Midwest, all the issues we thought were normal for all cars and trucks happened with our fords. "Oh yeah the rear diff is leaking on your 2012 F-150 with 10k miles....? Yeah I think that's normal." Then I come out to CA, and I jump into a 1986 Toyota pickup 4x4 with 250k original miles on it that was neglected for most of its 30 years, and I only did basic tune-ups to keep it running good for the 4 years I owned it. Now I have a Tacoma with 185k miles on it(almost put 10k miles on it since I bought it last year) with no issues. I never even used to bat an eye at a Toyota, now its almost all I look at. lol I still can't deny something like a nice Silverado 2500 though... love those trucks!

I have many friends/family that drive Ford and Chevy's both have tons of issues. even my dad that was an Chevy/GMC guy after many trucks having issues he now drives a Tundra.
There nice looking trucks, but the new fords have too many issues. and that eco boost is garbage.

im here until i can get a good deal on a new Sierra. I come from a GM family and had nothing but good things to say. I understand theres issues with all brands but i havent experienced it with GM. I also believe how you treat vehicles is 100% how they treat you.

Sweet let me know when that day comes, and i'll make you an offer on your 4runner. lol I agree though. GM isnt that bad. Both of my brothers are driving ex-border patrol Tahoe's and aside from one of my brothers needing to put about 2k bucks into fixing his, both of their trucks have been solid. I have had a few GM vehicles, and the only gripes were electrical issues.... fuel gauge, speedometer not working, etc. seemed to have been a GM fad in the early 2000's and mid-late 90's.

Well I'm trapped at my house. Main road out has been closed for a month and now the secondary road has a downed power line and a tree crushed a car. Just my luck the first year we move all this happens.

Funny thing is, I don't live in the mountains. I'm literally 1 min from Aptos Village, just this 500ft section that goes from Trout Gulch to Valencia sank and they shut it down. So we have to drive all the way around to get out but that road is getting a beating.

This is the stretch that sank and closed. Super annoying.
