Hi Jerry. Grill looks great on my truck.

What size are the hex bolts that holds the color plate?

    Thanks again.

While trying to clean the grille back plate, noticed two areas where rust has developed so sprayed WD40 on those two area.

Thoughts on any particular liquid solution to use to clean front black powder coated area and the back plate?

Looks like back plat needs to be unscrewed from behind, maybe 5-6 screws?

Speaking of back plates, how far out are we from being able to purchase them separately?

A little updates all orders up to 12/1/2016 will be shipping out some time next week. That leaves only 17 orders to be fully caught up and have grilles in stock! It only took a year to get here but were very close to have a stock of these and with the new addition to the shop :spy: in the next few weeks we will be pumping them out like no other as well as lots of other new parts!

So has anyone figured out an easy way to cleaning the back plate? Tried cleaning some bug spatter the other day and its more difficult than it looks.

We are now offering a 5052 Marine grade aluminium Eco grille we have been toying with the idea and decided to add that option. It's about half the price of Stainless and still has Excellent Corrosion Resistance. As well as a 5lb weight drop for the Eco Grille coming in at just over 4lbs . None in stock as the moment but the option is on the site now. If sales go more towards the Aluminum we my stop offering steel and stainless all together on the Eco grille just to stream line the manufacturing process.

Here is a quick shot of the Aluminum Eco grille.
    20170214_111712-01.jpg

The Recessed will also have the option to upgrade the center bar and backing plate to 5052 Aluminium for Corrosion Resistance in those hard to clean areas. As well as knock almost 3lbs off the total weight of the grille. It's also 0.9000" so it looks a little beefier being thicker then the 16 gauge steel option. It's a $25.00 upgrade and anyone with a pending order can upgrade as well just contact me soon as a lot are going out this week.

The Aluminum center bar and backing plate.

The main grille will still be steel as the amount of welding in these grilles will most likely cause the thin Aluminum to warp very bad. We might test it out once we're caught up to just see but I think it's going to be all wonky after welding.

Just saw the post about the aluminum backing plate, darnit. I might have gone that route for my recessed. Not sure. Is it just corrosion resistance and difference in weight that is the factor here? Any change in appearance?

It's about half the weight and we are streamlining the production process so all the backing plates are now Aluminium the upgrade will be the center bar to knock off another 2lbs.

90% of our back orders are from black Friday don't you worry you will be seeing tracking later this week.
