I didn't break anything. I did get scratches.
We took it easy, I think. It rained when we went, so it made things slippery.
Only thing I would worry about, personally, is that there will be alot more people on the trails. Things might be more rushed, IMO.

Oh yeah, I'm familiar with alot of people on a trail. I have been to Burkeville 3 times with a crew cab Polaris Ranger. A line of people in front and behind me as far as I can see. The pressure to hit a hole as hard as you can just to get through it is real...

With how hard we ride you could not pre-heat and probably never experience an issue. Pre-heating though isn;t too hard, I did a propane torch on mine for about 45 seconds right before I started welding.

If you ride with us we'll keep you in good shape. So far other than Overkills issue, we've never had any true trail damage. Just some scratched and dents. We aim to drive home at the end of the weekend if at all possible.

Yeah there will probably be the pressure to rush through, try not to though. That will definitely get something broke. I've never been so I'm not sure how the guided trail runs work.

Slower pace and little to no experience except for the leader and trail gunner. From what I understand.

When I do it eventually, I was thinking of putting it in the oven at about 400.....slow rise of heat, slow drop of heat.

@357sig Do you have Kings in the rears? If you do, do you have the "compression adjustable knob"?

Has anyone had experience with both Bilsteins and Icon shocks? Are the Icons really that much better?

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
I went to Barnwell with these guys in a stock Tacoma. I mean stock. Added sliders, but no suspension, skid plates, and tires other than stock.

Did level 2's fine. Did a 3, banged the skid plate. It was muddy and wet, but not terrible.

I've also done 2 other parks in Texas with a bone stock 4Runner of my wifes.

I haven't broken anything yet, torn up anything, or gotten stuck.

You'll be fine, just find a group of people who aren't all "HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS SHIT"

Do ya'll thing it would be a bad idea to mix/match shocks? Kings/Icons in the rear, for a softer ride and something else up front?

All depends on what you're trying to build. Your rear leafs play a part in how stiff or soft the ride is. Also how much gear you carry or plan on carrying in the future. Same goes for the front. If you go soft now and later decide you want a front bumper. Then it'll be to soft

I have the Dakars with Bilsteins in the rear, right now. It rides pretty rough. I do haul alot of weight, sometimes. I believe it might be softer with better shocks. Up front, I still plan to go with 886's, because I will get a bumper and a winch, eventually.
