in 15 years when you guys are trying to find a manual 2nd gen in good condition female owned and "never offroaded" you'll all eat your words...

 

Ok NE BS bitches. Question for ya. What's the best (Caribbean/Mexican) place to go to for say a week to 10 days. I've never been and trying to get some ideas but please no cruises, I honestly don't think I would like it. Anyway later this year is going to be my 10 year anniversary with my wife and I'm trying to think of something nice to maybe surprise her with.
Any good ideas-experiences guys???

 

Never been but I've always heard Playa Del Carmen is a good place, down in Mexico.

EDIT: I have been to Cancun and thought that wasn't bad. Depending on when you go it might be busy or not. I went when it wasn't, so I thought it was nice. Been to Aruba and that was great. Highly recommend it.

 

i really liked sint maarten. one of the few places i've been where you can go around the island off the resort and not feel like you're going to get mugged. good food, good beaches, and i believe it was cheaper than going to the cayman islands when we were looking

dominican republic is cool too but absolutely 100% don't leave the resort haha

playa del carmen used to be cool, i haven't been back to mexico since they started having all their drug wars though

The resorts themselves are nice and the beaches are gorgeous, but the instant you step foot outside of them it's povertyville. Plus the guys will all proposition your wife whenever you're not standing right beside her holding her hand and a rock.

My GF and I are going to the Exuma Islands for our Honeymoon. It is an island off of Nassau and is supposed to be more relaxed than Nassau. We went to Nassau on a cruise and neither of us were fans at all. We are staying at a Sandals all inclusive.
We went out a cruise a few years back to some of the islands and it was fun, but I would not do it again. In the future whenever we go back to the islands we plan on staying at a resort. The poverty hits you hard in the port cities and they can be very crowded.
In 2001 I went to Jamaica and it was a blast. Granted, I was in junior high at the time. But we stayed in an all inclusive resort and climbed the Dunns River Falls (a waterfall) and that was amazing.

 

If I have learned to drive one by then..

But seriously, nothing wrong with that. Doowhutchulike..

 

Never been to St Maarten but Cupcake went 8 yrs ago for her sister's wedding..still talks about how fun it was.

 

One of the reasons my GF wants to go to the Exumas is because you can go to a nearby Island that is uninhabited, except for pigs and you can swim with the pigs

And for the record @DoubleRGirl pulled the truck out to get to the trailer so that I.... could drive her and the trailer to get her new bike. She did NOT use her truck.

 

My brother swears by Aruba. Him and his wife have been probably 4 or 5 times

Plus, you'll have to list it as 'asian-female owned' and that's a completely different ball game

You can swim with pigs at Revere Beach, too.
