Appreciate the offer but for now I'm going to keep her as-is. If I can't sell the truck I'll most likely pull off the S/C and a few other parts to sell.

How much for the S/C if you pull it off?

Honestly I have no idea. I'll have to do some research and try to get a feel for what the market's like for used TRD S/Cs. But if I decide to sell the NoVA bros will be the first to know.

Far as I know you wont be able to remove it without replacing the ecu. Once the ecu is flashed for the trd sc on second gen tacos, toyota wont let it go back.

Im not sure it would be that easy. I think its tied to the immobilizer in the keys and such. And the vin is coded to the ecu as well.
I looked into getting a used ecu when mine was having issues with the magnuson sc flash and found it wasnt easy.

Yup, that's what I had in mind. As long as the ECUs were compatible. Once again..I gotta do more research to see what will/won't work. BUT, I'd prefer to sell the truck with the S/C on it, ha.

You will easily find a buyer for it with the sc on it. I still need to install my afr calibrator then all should be well with mine. Wish i had just got the trd flash in the first place

are there any 4WD groups / Taco groups out here???

I'm originally from the 757 and there are usually plenty of guys always down to go hit some trails...

AWESOME! i am in ashburn. Lets get together when you get here!

There is a facebook page.. Mid Atlantic Overland Society. But they frown upon going in mud, and are obsessed with ARB. So I quit haha. And they are open to all sorts of overland vehicles

that's awesome! If you see either of these around, be sure to waive. I bought the 4Runner for the wife, loved it so much that I sold my JK and bought a Taco

As will I! Give me a wave if you see me. I'm in and around Ashburn frequently, and lived in the 757 from '78 to - '01.

I am originally from the 757, born there in 88(looks like I am the young'n of the group haha) the Army took me away for 5 years, then government contracting, and now I'm coming back to Ashburn to work in the DC area.
