Awesome - anything else I should plan to bring?

 

Is that 3-4 hours out and back? I'd like to make it, babe somestuff to do Saturday afternoon though.

Gonna have to see if I can locate my shitty ass cigarette plug in compressor for airing back up.

 

Yeah, I got to be back by 3:30 so we're in the same boat.

 

"Babe" some stuff to do. Geez.. "have" some stuff to do.

 

Bring some food/snacks/drinks as we will eat up there.

 

I believe we will get up to the trailhead for Brown's peak. It's a very nice hike, I did it a few weekends back, but the last 10% is pretty much 75-90degree incline - straight up. If you have done flatiron, it's a steeper than that. But, the first 90% is still worth the trip for the views.

 

Thanks for the info. We're new to the area from Philadelphia. We've done Camelback and some of the tougher trails in Sedona. How does this compare? We're not extreme rock climbers but both in good shape. Will it be snow covered?

 

Welcome! Camelback is about same as Squaw Peak, which is easier than Flat Iron, which is longer but technically easier than Brown's Peak. I summited all 4 last month and there was no snow. There usually isn't any, but bring a wind breaker for the top. You want to do Flat Iron and Browns Peak soon, before it gets hot. Then during the summer you want to do Humphreys at Snowbowl near Flagstaff. That's a fun one too. And then of course Grand Canyon and Havasupai falls...

Oh and people, make sure you have proper spare tire... Last time we met up at the trailer parking lot at the beginning of the dirt road. My friend Kyle parked right next to me with his tire hissing. 6 inch file was stuck in his tire that he picked up on the 1/4 mile from the highway to the lot.

Due to some timing restraints and not having my full size spare / compressor I may end up just cruising up Table Mesa and shooting a bit. Not 100% sure yet, but looking like it

 

Random question I got the harbor freight coupon and was thinking of trying out their high flow compresssor anybody have luck with them on here? I mean for 40 or so bucks feel like I can't go wrong ?

 

My last one broke, just picked up a bigger one today from Walmart for 60

Hahaha i just bought one with the 20% off coupon! My last harbor freight portable compressor broke after 4 years of use. You can use mine tomorrow to see how you like it.
