@Cold Iron-I like your idea for the secure storage, nice workmanship. I have thought of removing the rear seats from my DC and putting in some form of platform and storage. Then I would have to store a seat along with a set of tires ( if I was to use Tacoma Mike's suggestion of a second set of tires for the snow) Crowded already. Maybe from the generator and the 55 gal of H2O? IDK...

Yep. I don't have a welder. Somewhere here I saw a guy building his own.

Thanks Mike I prefer to keep the guns totally out of sight, even when the doors are open. I built a storage area for the hi lift in the back part. Hinged the whole thing in 6 sections which was over kill. But I tend to over build and trying to get away from doing that LOL.

Wait until after your operation though!

Yeah I had one on my Dodge and worked well. On the taco didn't seem to help and caused more issues than did good so didn't last long.

Ah Brian already has about all the tooling we'd need between him and myself. Realy all we need is a good drill, metal cutting skill saw, a grinder , and a welder we have all that and we've made far more complicated things than skids. We're talking about going in together on a good tubing bender and starting to make our own sliders and bumpers. Maybe, It would be more like he had the tools and shop and I came in and did the work he's not always the most energetic person but when you put a welder in his hands it's incredible to watch
