Decided on doing a lift on my 2016 TRD Sport A/C 4x4. I only want about 2" of lift and putting on 265/70/17 Grabber A/T2 with the stock rims. Anyone out their put on the 2nd Gen 5100s on a 3rd Gen Tacoma? Spoke to Headstrong and they said that the 2nd Gen 5100s have more travel and can be set at the 1.75" setting which will give me about 2" on the Access Cab. Putting on the Deaver single AAL along with rear 5100s. Post up some pics showing your 3rd gen with a 2" lift.

Yes everyone that did a 5100 upgrade .... they just came out with the 5100 for the gen3 a few weeks ago.... some waited most went with the gen2 version as did I and I'm satisfied... much better than the stock sport suspension.

You need 885 or 887 springs up front and some AALs (Icon Progressives) for the rear.

Set the from billy's to ZERO and the lift comes from the springs NOT the shocks.

Shocks absorb... shocks to the suspension they do not raise the truck... don't care what anyone says to contradict that because = bull shit.

Pretty sure most of the big name suspension manufacturers just throw their name on the AALs but most of them are made by the same company i.e. Deaver or whatever. Yes the spring lifts the truck you can get more lift by preloading the spring more but the more you preload the spring the harsher and stiffer the ride becomes. Tires add clearance to the axles.
