I'll read up elsewhere plenty for sure. Just like to make conversation and ask TW peeps. TW is a great forum, not many like it.

I come here for photography, bikes, motorcycles, cars, Subarus, lights, you name it ha. Lots of people here into all sorts of thing. Even when I sold my Taco for the older style Pickup all the Pickup forums are dead compared to here so I just keep track of it on TW.

I'm in SoCal on and off but being the DD out usually. Do any trails a Honda Fit could manage? Haha I mostly kid, but I did blow out my front shocks on a high clearance vehicle only road in big bear last year.

    Need my truck out here.
Lots of Subaru off road guys in this area, but they talk too much smack and think their spacer kits are the end all be all of lifts.

Knew a guy who had a TrueTrac LSD in the rear of his 2WD Ranger. Was always impressed with the places he went.

@BuzzardsGottaEat ibe heard great things about nitto ridge grapplers for a slightly more aggressive all terrain. You are gonna hit a lot of mud down south.

I had a TrueTrac LSD in the front diff of my old F-150, combined with a Detroit c-locker in the rear it was usually only its size that stopped it from going someplace.

Ever have to DD it? Especially on ice? I've heard the non-selectable up front can be a downer around town.

It was a DD and only vehicle for about 5 years. I put a 130K on the odo. before it was totaled. When I owned it I lived near Tacoma, Wa. so snow and ice weren't a significant problem. When it did freeze or snow, I just made sure to let up on the throttle in the corners and I never had a problem.

    Neat, but not $3700 neat.
You could go a lot further with your money on a RTT setup.
Price them at $1000 or less & then you've got something

I never have but based on the videos, books, and friends' experiences that I've run across: you will deal with every terrain imaginable.

I've largely done swaths of the west (Utah, California, Colorado, etc.) and I also have encountered all types of terra.

I have BFG KO2s. I have found traction issues with snow, bare rock (dry or wet), and soft dirt/sand. I often carry enough weight to make a freight train groan and frequently use 4wd and the rear locker. To be fair, I'm no expert at finding the right lines.

Many of my Colorado brethren (and...sisteren?) have recommended the STT Pro and tend to steer away from the BFGs.
