4 cylinder brake stands

I have a 2.7l 4x4 5 speed that I cant get to do good burnouts. I dont want to do it alot but I want to show people it can (I hope it can). Anyone have any good tips on how to really get the tires spinning. Do I want the traction off and LSD off or on or what. Thanks

Yeah that would suck. I'm not going to do it alot because I dont want to destroy it but its alot of fun.

 

You really shouldnt try it on pavement, especially with a manual. Your clutch is gonna be shot very soon. The key to making the clutch last is NOT slipping it. Just my honest opinion.

Fast food restaurant trays will help you a lot, the plastic ones! Nvm actually that's a trick for front wheel drive it won't work for rear wheel drive.

 

Forget what I posted those don't help with burnouts that's used for "drifting" my bad totally misread the post

I know that part but I want to do brake satands (tires spinning truck not moving) but if I slam the brakes it stalls

 

If you want to do a burnout like that, you need a way to lock the front brakes alone which requires specialized parts made for the drag racing world.

Basically it allows you to apply the brakes and flip a switch which makes it so the front brakes stay applied and the rear lets go when you let off the brakes. Then you can roast the tires all you want without going anywhere.

 

LOok man...Lots of gas...(skinny pedal) touch on the brakes...(thicker pedal in the middle) and dump the clutch...(thicker pedal to the left)

But don't be doing this...I learned the hard was on my old 7.3 powerstroke. I had to be towed to the transmission shop to get a new clutch installed...Oops their goes $800. If you want to do burnouts go and get yourself a Mustang.

 

best way is drive up to a solid object like a building or telephone pole etc.. slowly come closer to it until the bumper softly meets the object (so you wont cause damage) then fuckin pin it and dump the clutch, just like harleys and other bikes do sometimes.

pavement makes a difference....some has more grip than others.

but i woudln't be doing a burnout with a 2.7L. go get yourself a V8 if you wanna do that.
