I don't think anyone has a goal of running into any deer, But I can tell ya, the top of the hill looked like an Elk killing fields yesterday. There was one on thursday, and yesterday there were 5 more. One just happened. Destroyed the F250 that wacked it. Not sure how much a Bull bar will help with elk though.

WOW, that's horrific, too bad for the elk and the dude that lost his ride. Even an ARB would not have helped in that circumstance.

They did my first one on the Coral Sea while underway. After that said I will Never, Never, again do it on a ship while underway!

Even a ARB will not do much for elk or moose from what I have seen. Breaks the legs and they still come at you through the windshield. Not good no matter how you look at it.

The Gunflint trail is the main roads up to a dead end in Canada off the North Shore of Lake Superior. In the winter the moose come out and lick the salt off the road and especially at night. 40mph is fast enough for me on the Gunflint Trail. I spend a fair amount of time on the Gunflint my license plate frames even says so front and back.

Being inertia sensors it won't matter what you put on the front, sudden deceleration will set off the bags

And my rear bumper is mounted the same as the tow bar in back. In the last few years we haven't heard of any towing issues

Hey, what are you doing in here? Get off our lawn you young whipper snapper!

Hey all, Jordan here is one of my SC buds. He has a very cool job as a marine biologist with SC DNR. We can let him on the lawn every now and then...

By the time I type in my response to all these quotes, there'll be another 5 pages to read!

It's not just the pensions. Yes the state hasn't been funding them, instead spending money left and right on social services. My wife is a special Ed aide (that must be why she married me...) and there are a lot of kids in the school system that are 504 (code for qualifying for special Ed). More than half in her elementary school in the last 5 years are from, of all places, the Bronx. They move here, get on state aid without any time in state requirements, and milk the system. Wifey says most are behavioral issues and not special Ed. That's why the damn state is in a financial pickle. About 3 years ago, I had to go to the ER in the morning. Got there around 9:30am. A little after 10am it was like the bus dropped off the welfare crew. As more walked in, they all knew each other. I remember one with a new high end Samsung phone went there to get more blood pressure pills because he forgot his at his friends house the night before. Another was there for the same and the third needed, of all things, band aids. I was there all day. When I finally saw the doctor, the staff asked me to participate in a questionnaire on the service. I told them I waited so long that I could have driven the 180 miles out to Cape Cod hospital and seen a Dr in less time... BTW, I was there for acute renal kidney failure. They made me wait to take care of those clogging the system. End of rant...

That's why I did these to mine:

    image.jpg

    Great minds think alike!!!

I'm with you on that. I think I had posted what I had done to my 96... Ground fuel plate, AFC spring kit, 370 HP marine injectors, and a hybrid turbo pushing (from memory about 38 psi). It dyno'd 400 Hp and just shy of 1000 ft-lbs. I'd transplant mine into an early 70's crew cab Ford though. My wife's uncle has a 70's Dodge with a big Detroit diesel in it. Needed a big body lift to get the hood to close.

My rear bumper is an Iron Cross. It uses the factory hitch. Sectioned in LED pods to get rid of the their logo...

Can chat some on week nights @ work, while taking jetsetters to airport. The service-work draws it out of one who'd normally be quiet, reserved ect. That's about the most "fun" lately. Also a little pen & ink sketches of coworker, bachelor-types. You seem to do outdoor photos?

You can prob see I'm kind of new to all this " web-community " stuff. I guess patience must be part of the learning curve.

To be honest you never need a cd changer ever again. They are problem prone. Better off just to get a thumb drive and copy the cd's..

I agree. That's what I'm doing with the new truck and I am soon going to upgrade the single disc in the 07. It was just a general statement of my dislike.
