    ...we'll get there.
My truck was hit and run on earlier this week.

I'm having the shop it got towed to get it rolling and then I'll be giving the rest of the work my best effort.

The mechanical estimate looks OK, but I see line items for both a CV (makes sense) and a spindle.

My understanding of our trucks was that the spindle was on the end of the CV...And that gets put into the wheel bearing. Am I wrong?

    Drop some knowledge on me.

I see no spindle, (other than what's on the end of the CV). The exploded view matches my expectations.

I think what he may be referring to is the "steering knuckle". Commonly called a spindle.

My bad, in my mind I was thinking knuckle when you said spindle. No spindle on these, unless like you said they are calling the end of the cv a spindle. But it's definitely not a spindle in the traditional sense that I'm accustomed to.

Yeah, that's it. My solid axle cruisers have the spindle that bolts to the knuckle. Threw me off for a sec. Man, had me all confused and second guessing my very existence, lol. Been trying to read as much as I can and learn about the coil over stuff and learn all the new lingo since I got the taco.

    Steering knuckle it was.

Taco gets surgery next week. They're nice enough to let me supply my own parts. And I was able to talk away the labor charge for the CV after I explained that with the LCA and steering knuckle off...That mofo just pops right out

Nice hermano. That's a cool shop and hard to find one that let's you do that as they love the money they make on simply marking up parts prices.
