They did but, inner fender trimming took care of that. Had to cut a little off inside off fender trim also.

    back to bone stock.
i am a sports car guy. i usually go lower, not higher. ;)
wow, what a thread! tons of information. like most people, my truck sees 98% street use. the 2% offroad, is typically getting me and my gear up to some remote ass hunting campsite. my last outing convinced me that i will need to do some upgrades. i rubbed fenders, and with all my gear, i bottomed out my rear (no TSB done). what i want is:
    1. keep my stock wheels/tires. i run the 265's on stocker 16" wheels.
    2. love to stay around 2" of lift..my wife is tiny. hahaha. so OME without the top spacer?
    3. i need the 98% street driving comfy.
i dont mind getting UCA's, longer brake lines, shims and stuff. I LOVE the money savings from the OME, and will probably go that route. i dont think i will lower my diff, and can correct the rear pumpkin's angle if needed. i can get (pay) someone to put my coils over the new struts. i almost killed myself in my youth messing with a Golf's springs. the stuff scares me now. DIY spring compressors are insane! now let me go and re-read this monster thread.

Did both of you use the n140s front shocks. I wonder if there is a significant difference in ride with the newer OME 90000 Nitro charger shocks that replaced the n140s? All i've heard is that they're stiffer like 5100's, well that's what wheelers said. Sucks cause I was gonna go with the OME just cause I head it had a softer ride than 5100's. Hmmmmm.. maybe too new to find out right now.

Mine are good. can't compare to anything else cause ... well, it's all I've got. But, I don't find them to be too stiff. Thing drives like a truck.

Im almost thinking that the OME is better bang for your buck. Plus thats another 400 bucks in your pocket for other mods.....
    Still cannot decide though.

Just ordered my OME kit with LR UCAs. So far I'm really happy knowing that I'm into whole thing including shipping for less than the posted price of the Ultimate kit alone. Personally, I didn't see myself needing the adjustment capability, and I have easy access to the tools needed to swap coils/shocks from stock towers.

Only downside is that the AALs for standard leafs are on backorder, but hopefully arrive today. Now, it's all about the waiting... will post pics when installed

Nice work on this thread, guys. I've read it a few times and it made up my mind on the lift I want. I'm going with a 3" OME with 885s and AALs. I have a few questions though for the install, forgive me newness if they've been answered:

    1. I know that you can add the top plate spacer for a full 3" lift up front, but if you do, does the truck sit level or will the front be slightly higher than the rear? If I don't add the spacer, what would the effect be on rake? (I'm planning on running 285/70/17s w/ no UCA upgrade at this time).

    2. Does "driver's side lean" literally mean it leans to the left when seated inside? If so, is the trim spacer only for one side of the front suspension to level it out? (I'm already shuddering as I ask this because it sounds like a dumb question to me and I'm new at this)

Thanks in advance for the help. Looking forward to this build.

    1. I dont know about the truck being level but I know you need the top spacer to fit those tires.

    2. You need the trim spacer. The driver side coil is a different height then the passenger side. So when you replace the coils you need the trim spacer to make it level.

Thanks for the help. I guess part two of my dumb question would be, what side does the trim spacer go on, driver's? I ask because I'm definitely new to this and also I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy from the few places around here that will do the install for me. I've talked to a few places, but no one specializes in lift kits. I feel like I'll have to give them pretty specific instructions. Wishin' right about now I was back home in Detroit close to all my gear head buddies with super garages....

yes your correct it goes on the driver side. You will learn a lot from this website, just keep reading and reading. I would reach out to the forum and see if anyone is in your area to help you out. I drove 3 hours last weekend to attend a mod day.

I want in! I'm guessing you are sending discounts because the OME setup is getting mad love in this thread. But why the secrecy?

I'm also being convinced the OME is right for me. No diff drop, 2 1/2"-3", want to run 275/70/17's and it's cheap ($600ish). Hard to beat that!

But I'm all ears right now....
