This is the gated dead end road that the driveway is off of.

If someone wants to get up there they can, hard to stop that. Good thing is because it's so secluded and off of a dead end road there shouldn't be many passers-by or wandering eyes.

I second the Rockblox, I've got Rally armor flaps, and they do well but aren't quite as flexible as I'd like, I also FUBARD all of my anchors mounting them so I can't even go back to rockblox if I wanted too. And you defiantly want some of the "rally spec" with the flaps poking out an inch or two, as that will do a lot for keeping tire spray off of your fenders

Definitely want to keep road spray and rocks off the rocker panels and fender wells. My old ranger didn't have front flaps and was mighty chewed up.

So I did my diff breather relocation this afternoon and of course while I was under the vehicle I notice the My left rear drum was wet so now I gotta pull the wheel tomorrow and see if it's the axle seal or brake cylinder

For those of you out there with 4 Runners, i'm in need of a little help. My neighbor has a very neglected 2005 4Runner Sport, 4.0 automatic 4x4 He doesn't have the owner manual for it anymore so I can't check that for diff fluid weight. Truck has 218K miles on it and likely has never had the diffs serviced. What should he be running in the front and rear diff? Purely street driven, never tows anything at all.

This isn't helpful, but my buddy just changed his front and rear diff fluid in his Tacoma at 167k. He tows boats often. The fluid didn't look as bad as you might thing. There was a small amount of moisture in the rear diff but the front looked okay.

He used to be a private delivery driver. A LOT of stop and go, blew up his transmission at 125K miles. He's also not easy on the gas. I expect the diffs to be pretty ugly lol. He's also got a slight howl coming from the rear diff only when he's on the gas, goes away when he lets off. I believe it's just a standard 80-90 which I've got plenty of however I want to be sure. I'll be doing the service, he barely knows what a screw driver is lol.

hey guys, Im moving to Ashburn, VA in 2 weeks and I cant seem to find any active groups / facebook pages, etc... for our area.

are there any 4WD groups / Taco groups out here???

I'm originally from the 757 and there are usually plenty of guys always down to go wheeling...

Nice! we're renting in Ashburn for a year until we get to know the area, but I'm possibly looking to buy in the Accokeek / Charles County area since it appears you can get so much more of a house there than in VA
