Has anyone removed pins from the factory ECU plugs to splice in wires?

 

Yea... pain in the dick... get a pin tool. It will make your life easier

 

You wouldn't happen to have one would ya?

 

I used a mini jewelers screwdriver. I'd just wait and buy the tool. It's pretty cheap

Been trying to use a needle/pin but can't seem to find the sweet spot. Trying to install my urd maf cal. Guess I'll order a tool and wait another week.

 

Try a sharpened pop rivot

 

I haven't tried it on a toyota, used to do it on other stuff with a stir stick. Wasn't super easy, but doable.

 

I'm looking at wiring options for my bumper light bar. Does anybody have pictures of their wiring with or without a spod?

 

Is it just the boots or actuall tie rods. I could use a spare

 

With an sPod its incredibly easy, hook the positive to the positive screw, negative to the negative screw on the sPod box and thats it. Assuming you have the sPod installed. How ever knowing what I know now I might go for the other wiring box instead, can't remember the name of them right now though...

Yes! That was it. I like having overhead switches better but with the new switchpro you can make any of the lights strobe. I wish I had that for my rear facing dust lights... I now have to buy a strobe relay and wire it in and don't get a choice if I want it solid or strobe.

 

Was thinking about just running it to a switch for now and running a spod later on when I add more.

 

Thats still really easy to do assuming you have a wiring harness that came with the lights. Its all plug and play

 

I went with the Switchpro simply for the cleaner wiring setup.

 

I was deciding between that and sPod, both are very good. But I wanted overhead switches haha

 

Could switch to the fancy touchscreen.

 

I will say I do like the tactile thunk of the traditional sPOD switches over the flat buttons of the Switchpro.
