Well its official!!!!

I AM GOING TO BE A FATHER!!!!!

Me and my wife have been trying for almost 3 years to have children, and after two miscarriages, we are finally pregnant. The bigger news is that we are pregnant with TWINS!!!!

The road we have been on has been a very rough, hard road, i never imagined the toll it would take on me and my wife. So many times i wondered why crackheads were just popping babies out left and right like nothing, it felt so unfair. It has changed our outlook and opinions on everything. Looking back over the years and thinking about friends and loved ones having a miscarriage and thinking it was no big deal, was a huge eye opener after we went though it.

We were going to a fertility endocrinologist expert (one of the best in our tri-state area), and went through several different medications and lots of ups and downs and hormonal changes, its been a hard road but we are finally here!!!!

Infertility, miscarriages, ovarian and uterus issues are no laughing matter, they are serious conditions. Always be mindful of people who are going through a situation such as ours, even if you have never been through it, doesnt mean its not hard for the person going through it.

I just wanted to share our good news, we are excited and very nervous (first kids, and will be two boys). So if anyone wants to vent or share a story or anything else, i will try and help or just give someone to vent to, as best i can.

I come from a similar background. I was an adopted child. My parents couldn't get pregnant. Not sure why or if they looked into endocrinology..I suspect they didn't but never asked.

 

If we didnt get pregnant after this round we were just going to give up. It had been a long and hard enough road.

Congratulations. Twin boys, sounds like troubled squared. Enjoy the adventure, it goes by fast. My son will be 15 in September and going to high school. Seems like yesterday I was taking him to kindergarten and walking in with him. Friday, I picked him up at school, he walks up and asked if he can walk to Chick Filet with his his buddies. Told him I would do groceries and pick him up afterwards. I get to CF, find him and his buddies are sitting with a few girls. Fun times ahead.
