Really? That's weird.... mine fit like a glove, and I have a manual too, so I was fearing the edge of the driver side mat would catch on my clutch pedal everytime time I drove... no issues. Both driver and passenger fit perfect. I would return them and get another pair, as those suckers aren't cheap.

    ATTENTION ALL 1ST GEN OWNERS!

Everyone needs to do this. It will save your door handles. Pull the doors panel off, grab some WD40 and go buy a panel tool so as to not break any clips.

[IMG]Snowbash.jpg by Monte Nickles Photos, on Flickr

    Then spray here:

Seriously. Do it. It is unreal the difference. I love opening my doors now. No effort at all, doesn't pop open. Just gently opens. Like a brand new car.

My Weathertechs fit perfect on my extracab. Are you sure they sent you the ones for the dcab? The extracab ones wont fit correctly on a dcab. Something about the heat vents in the floor. Extracabs don't have that in the floor.

would it be more beneficial if you use a lubricant other than wd40 as when ive used that it attracts grim overtime

but good to know it makes opening the handle easier my passenger one has gotten a bit rough

Sure. Im sure there are other things you can use. I used WD40 because i had it. When i went to the parts store i almost got some graphite spray but the guy there said it never lasted as long as WD40.

And lets be honest...not a lot of grim going on in the doors.

It's easy enough that if it lasts around a year, i'll be more then happy to do it annually. It makes such a big difference.

It is well worth it. I am still blown away by this. Could have avoided broken handles with just some damn spray...live and learn.

I was getting a loud vibration noise while driving so I replaced the the clutche, flywheel, front axles, tires ,oil change/filter, and last but not least the rear drive shaft... Which actually fixed the issue! It Was the u joints but shaft was very worn so replaced it... Not too bad for a truck I have for 2 yrs so far. I do have to replace the thermostat next... The temp. needle looks alil closer to the Hot side. 210k 02 xtracab 2.7l 4x4

I will definitely be doing this. My driver side door has gotten to that point where you have to pull the handle all the way and give the door a slight tug. I don't wanna break anything. You have a door panel removal write up, yeah?
I am considering using fluid film. I used it on the tail gate latches and wow does that close easy now. I used to have to either hold the handle up or really slam it. Now I can give it a very slight push and it closes no issue.

FWIW, my temperature guage needle always sat higher than other vehicles I had driven.

I took it to the stealership in December for a water pump, timing belt replacement they changed the thermostat too. The needle sits in the same spot after the work.

I searched around TW seems to be the norm.

Yeah a silicone based lube spray, wd-40 also makes one, will be the ticket to use in the doors or anywhere really. The comment on wd-40 attracting dust and dirt is legit. I rarely use the plain wd-40 anymore. Better lubricants/penetrants now a days.
