Lol soon. I may have hail damage, cracked windshield, frame rust, balding tires, a massive crater in the cab, a hole in my softopper. But these door handles will feel amazing god damnit.

 

Sounds like that almost open themselves they are so good.

Hey man. Even devin, who got so sick of me raving about the damn handle ever time we went anywhere in igor. Finally caved and tried it. She was thoroughly impressed! And understood my excitement

 

It's pretty obvious that you pleased with this 'mod', I'm just not sure what all the hubbub is about. Mine have always opened like butter and I've never broken a handle either.

 

Well we shall see maybe later this year if your butter is the same as my butter haha

If I were to do this, I definitely would not use wd40. a TPFE lube is a much better choice.

 

Use Tri-Flow for lubricating your door latch's guys.
In fact, you should be using it for everything that requires a spray lubricant.
WD-40 is fish oil and will go away rather quickly.

it won't stick around long, it's good for a temporary fix only.
It's been called fish oil for decades, whether it's actually in there or not doesn't matter.
Kind of like snake oil.

 

Haha I saw something about fish oil when I was on their website before and couldn't resist. No doubt there are better alternatives out there.

 

lol, don't get me wrong, WD-40 is a good product, i keep a can in the truck, next to the Tri-Flow and liquid spray grease.
It's (WD-40) more of a solvent, and definitely attracts dirt like nothing else. I use it on the E-brake cable as it penetrates through a little better. Followed by lots of Tri-flow to keep it working.

If you spray the two side by side on a slip of paper, you can really see the difference.
