How bad was the house when y'all bought it? Are we talking new coat of paint or tear down walls kind of work?

 

Structurally sound, but 100% 1973 original. Sweet ass shag carpet. Ha ha.

But yes, major overhaul. Bathrooms have been a nightmare. Going to be sweet when we finish it though.

 

cab mounts cut and cover plate welded in (Gid has mad skills with a grinder), front fenders cut back.


Who asked about a snorkel a few pages back?
I installed Airflow a few days ago. What a PITA!
Use a 4-1/8 hole saw, not 4.
And a dremel with some cutoff wheels will help with trimming a bracket up inside fender if you are 2012+ model.

Agreed. I know I'll eventually add a snorkel, but damn I need another mod like I need another hole in my head.

Since I know I'll eventually be moving back to Colorado, they look like a better option for bridging and ledging.

 

I just used tin snips to cut that piece of metal. I thought the most difficult part was the upper most bolt.

 

You can run a leaking valve cover gasket for a long ass time right?

That's a very easy decision. A snorkel is good for looking weird on your truck (opinion). A winch can save your trucks life and possibly yours.

 

Didn't you just get that battery last year?

don't need no winch.




But I do have a ratcheting cable puller and a strap stowed behind the seat just in case.
