Transmission fluid mishap. Need help! Lol

    Putting the pieces of the puzzle together it sounds like you put non-Toyota / non-compatible tranny fluid in there. I don't think the dealer will fix this under warranty unless they are kind hearted. Expect to be on the hook for the cost of a full tranny fluid exchange. Live and learn. :)

    As long as whatever you put in there is compatible with WS fluid, you're fine.

    People get hysterical about fluid types... Totally unnecessary.

    The dealer will probably charge you between $200-300 to do the job right....don't ask ask me how I know! :anonymous:

    So I went to a shop and the level is fine. Not too worried about the mix of fluids so I'll end up getting a complete tranny flush in two week! Thanks guys for all your help. Hope you got a laugh out it at least

    It's not really that hard, I've actually come up prefer this way over a dipstick. After you've done it a few times it's super easy.

    Let your Toyota guy check the level's,do not do it yourself,and you will be fine no big deal.
