That is a very nice transition. I like what that does to the front end.

Finally got to mount my CVT Mt. Rainier extended summit series tent and Trasharoo. I cannot wait to actually get out and use this setup.

removed the OEM TRD decals on the rear and took about 2hrs of my time to lay out and cut the vinyl to convert to matte black lettering.. so much better than the original look!

That's pretty quick. I'd bet the FJ community would love them if your willing to adapt and sell.

And you're happy with that choice? I think that's what I'd get just to keep everything fitted like OEM

I did this yesterday too, worked out well!

Cut and spliced into pin 17 on the back of the head unit - simple trick with lots of features/usability!

1983 restoration in progress, major mods so far new 6" lift and 35" Mickey Thompsons.
I took the truck on a road trip yesterday to look at a new project. My first Toyota Truck was a 1982 SR5 4X4 that was my favorite vehicle to this day. I have been searching for that year truck for a few years and had been unsuccessful in finding one in relatively good condition at a fair price. I finally came across an '83 on Craigslist a few hours away. I went and looked at it yesterday and wound up purchasing it.

It has some rust on and in the bed, so I guess I'll have to dust off my sheet metal/welding skills among other things. This project will be a labor of love and I'm hoping it will turn out looking great. The guy I bought it from had planned on coming to the Outer Banks for a day trip, so he's loading it on a trailer and delivering it to me today.

I didn't take any pictures of it yesterday, but the following picture is one he had in the ad.

    00p0p_eULnFDvVIle_1200x900.jpg

With this project starting, any future major mods on the '16 are on hold for now. I can only afford to do one truck at a time :) I plan on starting a build page as soon as I get her cleaned up and start the restoration.

Took a long time to find this truck but now the fun starts!

Checked sears.com today and they have ko2's in 265/70/17 c rated white letters for $716 @ set carry out. That's a killer price. I already have that size street tires on my 8" wheels. Looking for 18x8.5 wheels to put 285/60/18 ko2's on. That size with a +10 offset should clear my stock suspension.

Hi new here and really enjoy reading about everyone's mods to their Tacoma's !!! I have a 2017 TRD sport long bed inferno , done quite a few mods already which include,Debadging everything, removing sport decals, TRD wheels, cooper stt maxx tires, TRD pro grille and fogs( pro taillights on the way) interior/reverse led's,1/2 thick rubber stall bed mat,OEM Toyota dash cam( from Japan) Morimoto 2 stroke Led low beam, console tray and organizer, Katzskin tangerine leather to be installed next week ( will post pics when installed) I think that's everything..

I've had 13 Toyota trucks since old enough to drive, but didn't modify those much as most were used for farm/commuter trucks , still have my 2008 Tacoma access cab 4x4 which got demoted to the new farm truck.

I don't want to lift the 2017, but wondering if anyone would know if adding the Billstein 5100's or similar set up would make for a better ride? Not looking for to firm but maybe for better handling? Or if stock set up is fine if not lifting or leveling. Suggestions? Thanks

I have a love hate relationship with my Glock. I have bad hands, and it hurts my hand after 50 or so rounds. BUT! I shoot it so well, and after several thousand rounds, it has been 100% flawless.

    On to the mods:
I finally got my display on/off images to work.

I just purchased a 2017 TRD Pro... Looking at bed racks. Anyone have thoughts on Warrior Products vs Front Runner? Is the $600 decision better than the $900? Thanks
