Didn't realize it until I did it on mine... and I am now happy to have that "fun switch" installed.

    Hmm
Maybe there's an "abs 3" fuse
    I'll have to look

IIRC , most of ABS bypass mods trick the truck into thinking the locker is engaged (even if your model doesn't have one) which shuts off the ABS and VSC

    Hmm
So I wonder which fuse would be the best one to pull for the switch

In the mod I'm talking about you don't "pull a fuse" for the switch , you just wire in a switch

Had some spare time and wired my abs fuse to a switch. Maybe someone can make a write up with pictures?

In the fuse box under the hood I pulled the "ABS No.2" female fuse/fusible link.

Take a female spade connector and connect it to some 18 gauge wire. This goes to the post nearest the cab (hot post) of the fuse/fusible link. And run the wire through the cab and to your switch.

Now for the cold post in the fuse box connect a female spade connector to about 3" of wire where you will connect a male spade connector. Plug the male spade connector into one side of the fuse/fusible link.

Now take another piece of wire and put a male spade connector on one end and plug it into the other side of the fuse/fusible link. Run the remaining wire into the cab to your switch.

solder/shrink/tape your wires since they will be exposed.

    Abs On A Switch.
(In the video my switch is not in the cab as this was temporary for me and just done to help members.)

    Same guy

    ↑
    I noticed there's a fuse labeled "abs1"
When I pull that I get the same icons on the dash minus the "brake"
Any idea what this one does?
Same thing almost. I would use that fuse then because one less light. I only used abs no.2 because abs no.1 fuse used to be bolted into the fuse box.

Here's a pic. Lmao I'm sorry it's the best I could do without my truck around.

Yes I know that , point was the same concept could likely be applied

You said your ABS disconnect switch would not kill the VSC , I was just illustrating a different concept to try to do what you wanted to acheive , obviously you would need to confirm that it would work on the 3rd gen

    Yea
I was looking under the dash at all the wires and plugs and couldn't figure out what wire in your post was the wire in my tuck. Then this guy showed me this way of doing it. I looked for a fuse labeled "trac" but found nothing. I'm sure in time someone will figure it out. I'm hesitant to start snipping wires

    put it in 4x4?

Might be a pain in the ass but it will at least keep you going straight when the wheels slip.
If you think you need it off for driving then why not turn it off before setting off?

We just got blasted with 16inches, I've had it in 4x4 and traction light never comes on.

I get snow here and still don't see a point in it.
Yes the VSC kicks in quick but I haven't had a problem. Instead of turning it off I just engage 4H and no problems.
Haven't gone out of 4x4 for two days now as we've gotten 16 inches over the last two days

there are times where it being off can help, but I think having the auto LSD and stability off (what you get from 1 press) which you can do while moving is fine for snow. Going completely off is a bit much to me.

I agree. Pushing it once is almost always the better option. It almost never interferes with me then.

But you guys don't have a problem with it engaging when the truck starts to slide?
When I have it pressed once and hammer down in the snow with or without 4x4 on
That system engages and sucks in my opinion. Unless I stop completely and disable it, which is hard to do sometimes if I'm on a main road
