Well, if it makes you Northeasters feel any better, I just checked the forecast and there's a special statement; we're going from subzero yesterday to a warming trend with snow changing to freezing rain then rain with 40°F by Tuesday.
    I'm just thrilled.:bananadead:

I need to find a way to enforce my "no temps greater than 25°F from November through April" policy. :notsure:

39* here and snow is melting fast. Frost heave this year shifted some bricks around in the driveway and the water can no longer drain in front of one of the garage doors. So playing with sand bags and trying to keep it out of the garage with little luck. Shopping for Garage Door Thresholds on Amazon now. Has to be above 40* to lay the cement for them and that should happen by the end of the week. 49 on Friday and 50 on Saturday if the weather guesses are correct. Have had some bad snow storms in April and even May here, earliest I've ever seen it this warm. No complaints from me though garage flooding or not.

If you figure it out, let me know how you do it. It's 80* out here today... and while it might be nice, it's NOT SUPPOSED to be this warm in February!!!

On the bright side...today just turned to lazy Sunday. Gonna leave the 1 inch of snow on the driveway for "traction texture" when the freezing rain shows up. It's a gamble, but one I've made before and it pays off more often than not. Guess we'll know by Tuesday.
    :fingerscrossed:
They don't put drains in the garages there?

Oh and while the doughnuts sounded good this morning they were not. A bite of each was more than enough and think they are hard enough now I can use them as hockey pucks. The ho ho's and ring dings however were freaking AWESOME!!

The doughnuts kind of upset my stomach too so had to eat some real food finally.

In a couple of hours grilling some Johnsonville cheese and bacon brat burgers and Medium spice sausage burgers for supper and next week. Haven't had a ground beef burger in a long time. Way this thread works it won't be long before I do though LOL.

Good luck I have played that gamble more than once based on forecast. Sometimes I win and sometimes loose but more times than not win that one.

Yep there is a drain. Cast Iron in middle of garage with pipes under cement slab. Goes to septic system headed almost the full length of the house in the opposite direction. There is no grey waste drains in the house. Almost 50 years old and the salt from the previous vehicles that parked in the garage have eaten the check valve and pipes away so that it collapsed closed. First 2 plumbers that looked at it said good luck and walked away. The third said he didn't know how much it would cost until he got into it which I totally understand. He thinks at least $2K as a starting point. So it is still closed, for now.
