Found this Craigslist Tacoma. Thinking about pulling the trigger. Mileage is great and looks to be on great shape but it is a 14yr old vehicle though. Check it out and let me know what y'all think. Thanks!

    Nice truck

Not my cup of tea at that price point due to mods not being to my liking

But if these mods are what you want then you should get it

Also putting all those mods, "never been off-road" means this is a perfect TW poseur truck :)

looks good and the mileage is low, I would try to get it for a bit less but it would probably sell for what the owner is asking if it was around here.

Those suspension components are nice and shiny. A small portion of frame is visible in the front suspension pic and it is not so shiny. Surface rust is expected. I'm not saying it's awful, I can't tell. Just make sure YOU can tell.

Looks like a nice truck, low miles for sure!

That really seems like all the money for that truck. I would expect no rust, all records, and all recent maintenance completed - basically a completely pristine turn key truck.

But - if all of that is true - it might be worth it!

Good luck on your search. I love my first gen.

The guy is the second owner. The first owner was his grandfather who left it to him in his will. It is not his primary vehicle and he has had it for 2 years. He recently did the suspension and tires. Everything seems to be in order. He also has a lead on a camper shell locally which is huge for me!!! Every tacoma should have a camper shell

ok so i found 3 more milage around 118-146k double cabs are up today $8500.00-11,000 If you lose the double cab there at 5200.00- 8k higher end. Who cares about milage there ar millions and millions of these trucks and lots and lots spare motors. since im a dealer\re-seller i get commercial price of 800.00- 1500 for low milage motors. But when this motor goes ill go chevy LS family motor......My brother has a land rover with a chevy corvette motor w\turbo at 650hp it is just stupid powerful. My last v8 conversion was a 91 high lux with a chevy 350 small block a checvy turbo 350 trans and chevy 3/4 axles!

    $8500-$11,000 is normal prices

You said $6000 all day before

Lastly you can't compare non double cab to double cab prices. I track all sales on an excel spreadsheet. Also have CA dealer license

1st gen 4 door command premium

    That's a fact jack

I love the 1st gens. I love the tacomas. I love the 1st gens so much i have had 3 now. I usually wreck them having to much fun! but this time i went lifted and overland. last time was a slightly lifted sport 4x4 S\C of course the S\C option was a factory option but it could not be financed with the truck that was a rule. But if you payed for it in full then you could have it on a brand new truck as a factory installed option and have it documented as o.e.m. add on. Still most insurance company still call it engine modification and refuse to cover it in accidents.

Ok sorry im an idiot some were pre-runners and it was hard to see that in the adds. Best i can find is like $7995.00 but mileage is up there at 163k
    https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-for-sale/listing/5TEHN72N34Z334034/2004-toyota-tacoma/
....But i bought my first one at 117k and then supercharged it at 147,000 miles. no problems with these motors! I cant believe these 4 drs get that much more money. Frankly i hate the tiny bed on it and the wheel base is too long.
