    '00 tacoma 2.7 4x4 reg cab 5speed x's 2. '01 T4R 3.4 5 speed
The guys callin the shots at toyota really must have been fucked up on drugs during the 01/04 production years!! Firstly no manual trucks, ya know!? Were talking a toyota mini truck here where a 5 speed was the norm forever, granted a 4 door but still, autos should be the rare one!! Then to put a 2.7 in one!? Wtf!? That shouldnt have ever happened! Then lastly and not such a big deal plus im not referring to the last 4 years of a real tacoma anymore but taking the 3.4 off the table for all reg cabs after 97...i guarantee reg cab sales woulda been a good bit higher throughout the rest of the 1st gen years had there been a v6 option... even in a reg cab the 2.7 is pretty doggy in my opinion, ive always wanted more out of that engine. It gets down the road but you always wish there was more action when that pedal is depressed.
