I think you did the right thing. I would be livid if I was in your shoes.

4wd trucks have to be put on a flat bed period. That being said. They had to drag it up onto one if they did use a rollback. So i would be on that security footage like horse fly on shit. I'd also want to know who made the decision to tow the wrong fucking barcode. My understanding is that they should've towed her car, not yours. I'd even consider moving because that entire situation is bullshit. /rant

Sorry you had to go through that.

4wd trucks do not have to be on a flatbed. All depends on the transfer case. If it's a full time 4wd truck than yes, part time, generally not an issue. They also do not have to drag it up onto the flatbed. They can simply lift the rear wheels, put a dolly under each rear wheel, and winch it up. I used to do repo work, been through it all. Highly unlikely any damage of any kind was done to your truck. Have it checked out though, can't hurt. If no damage is found, you foot the bill for the inspection. If damage is found, a year or so in court and it'll be paid for, maybe.

Dont you love old houses with shitty previous owners?

yeah, your not seeing things, thats an exterior, load bearing wall with no sill plate of any kind. the office that is in the house used to be a carport, and was then closed in to make an office. well, we started getting a water leak, and originally i thought it was a bad piece of siding, but after fixing that the leak continued, so the wall was opened to find that. im willing to be the bastards used the original 4x4 for the outside corner too.

Is it an old split foyer where one part of the house was the garage or carport? I saw that a lot when I was looking at houses around Glen Burnie/millersville.

Permits? Just fix it yourself! Screw permits. Support the wall, cut 3" off the bottom of each stud, sneak a set of 2x4s under them, secure everything down.

I'm glad they were out of the NW instead of the NE. My house takes a whipping during a noreaster. That corner is totally exposed to the bay. No buffers from wind coming off the water.

@fatfurious2 question for you brother. I have been looking at tons of different wheels and came across the Level 8 mk6 and fell in love. then realized your running them on your rig. how do you like them? if you got a do over would you buy them again and do you have any recommendations?

I really like them! Great cost point at, I think $150 each shipped from Discount Tire. There are 2 versions of the 16" that I have. 0 offset and -10. Im just thinking now that I want a wider stance, but I have no complaints about them!
