    If you don't want to take it off. I'm sure it will serve its purpose but it's kind of an overkill. The adhesive part is unnecessary. I'm sure you will be able to break the seal if you have too but I would just stick to exterior grade silicone. :thumbsup:

    That is awesome. Im also using a mounted 42" plano case, but your set up is way more clean with the Pelicans and xtrusions and flat and washers. Nice man. I also plan on getting a pelican case for the passenger side for more recovery gear.. cause you can never have enough of it :D

    Stoked on the rack, less then a week after install me and a buddy went on road trip to 8 national parks, ended up being 2300 miles!
    The rack held up well! Carried the traction boards, rotopax, and water port.
    Went through every kind of weather and it stayed attached to the truck and no leaks!
    40" lightbar cut out wind deflector and 40" single row go on this week
    Thanks Zachary for looking out for the access cab guys haha

    Yeah it was worth it, we could have stayed longer if my Advanced emt school didn't start the next week. But it was good, we got to see the touristy or "post card" spots, but left room to go back and explore. I would have liked to do some True off-roading in Moab, kinda did in Sedona, but I did get to fly a plane so that was rad!

    Nah, it's just like the way they write "AMBULANCE" backwards so people see it correctly in their rearview mirror.

    Just got the rack put on my truck and love it so far. A lot of people have talked about the noise that it can cause so I decided to get a quantitative measurement of it. I took the readings from a decibel indicator app on my iPhone so I am sure it is not 100% accurate. I have a 2005 crew cab with a 2" lift and wrangler duratracks tires that are obviously slightly louder then road tires. I have the noise reducing trim on the rack with a 40" TRS light bar. I took the measurements on the same day, same sections of road, and with no other variables changed to the truck.

    These are the decibel reading before and after the rack was put on.
    No rack vs. rack
    idle = 53db / ""
    35mph = 73db / 74db
    45mph = 74db / 75db
    60mph = 78db / 81db
    70mph = 80db / 83db

    My wife and I could not audibly notice the max 4db change.

    @zscott, Is it possible to buy a complete wind deflector? I currently have one with a cutout but I don't plan on running a light bar.
