This is why I don't like birds. Polly is nasty enough rolling in other animals' shit piles and making herself sick and shitting in her cage while I'm at work.

Our washing machine is shit, it has an agitator. Even though it has a "delicates" setting I always hand wash anything that involves any type of fastener. I learned that the hard way throwing the couch cushions through the wash. But thanks for the advice and having mercy on me :)

Other than the occasional 27lbs of bird seed on the floor around their cages, they keep the mess contained to the floor of the cage. We keep newspaper on their floors and change that out every few days. Much cleaner than the dawgs. Birds need toys or they get bored and get mean. They destroy their toys.....THey can chew through anything wooden. Or fingers.....

If you're willing to put in the work it's worth it. But it's a lot of work. My dad made a huge place, it was 2'x3'x4' with bird netting and I think it was balsa wood, or something extremely light like that as the frame. I would put newpapers down on the bottom and I can't remember I think sheet metal under it, so first thing in the morning all I had to do was lift it up and change out the paper.

I've known people that had like the hard core cages that are a huge hassle to clean for their parrots and theyre always covered in shit. I'd always feel so bad for the animals. It's fucked up.

Super stoked lol. If only washing the dogs were so easy. I gave Banditt a bath earlier and she was like...crusty caked in dirt.

Back from a couple of breweries. Watching the Fast & Furious binge-o-rama on Spike. Lasagna in the oven and MsWalla's reading in the recliner next to me. Life is good.

You should change it to "what's the point of brushing your teeth if you're just going to eat again."

Leroy always fights me and banditts usually chill. Today she decided to fight me the whole time. I feel bad cause I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm water boarding her when I have to wash her head. It had to be done though.
