What's the benefits of those green pads? Someone mentioned yellow pads too?

An affordable, stock location, upgraded material brake pad. Green is lvl1 above oem, and yellow is another step up from that. There is a red stuff pad as well for racing applications. Basically they will reduce brake fade during heavy use.

So, got the old lines off, new lines are installed on the bracket after taking the dremel to the one mount. Should be l downhill from here. Slap everything back together and bleed.

    Two Fucking days... Still unfinished.

Granted, I probably bit off more than I can chew trying to do all this at the same time, but literally EVERYTHING has been fighting me.

Can you take a picture of the threaded part on the hard line?

These rear lines just will not go on. Ive tried everything I can think of. I managed to connect the driver side line to the hardline at the frame, but even that one felt like crap and I'm actually concerned its not even fully on there.

The threads on the hardline dont even reach far enough to engage. Just feels like its bottoming out before it can. That, and when I bring the threaded portion all the way to the flare, and try threading it in from there, it seems to not fit the diameter of the new line.

The old lines go back on just fine. Am I missing something?

I would be sure that the line is as straight in the braided line as possible. Any deviation from perfect center will keep it from starting to thread. It's a pain in the ass for sure.. it took me a while to do it and I had a lift. Just keep your cool and keep at it

Is the fitting on the hard end have good threads still?

Ive been manipulating the hard lines to get them as perfect as possible. That does seem to play a big part.

The threads seem fine. I do notice a bit of material on the flare portion. Almost looks like old plumbing tape when you undo a connection, I can't tell if its metallic or not. Like shavings or something. One sec...

Had to do that a few times today... lol

My only concern is that they really do seem to bottom out before the threads have a chance to engage. Idk. I was unfortunate enough to have hours of investigating, and that's what I could come up with.
