Anyone doing these installs for the Blue Sea. Have a look at the links in my Signature area. There are better options for us and they are waterproof.

looked at your link - your cheapest version with 10 accessories is $100.
The blue sea (tested & proven) has 12 accessories (IMO has a very nice visual) and goes for $38 on Amazon...........not that i need 12 lol

Just curious as to what makes yours better??

Relays, waterproof, smaller, fuses, wire, breakers, screws, bolts, hardware, loom, etc. -> Can be custom built to your specifications. Custom split harnesses, wrapped, Ignition and Constant power. Cleaner, looks factory when installed right.

A coper wire that is open to the elements can become contaminated internally, you run into conductivity issues then and resistance issues. If they are all terminated and sealed properly, that becomes a moot point. But you still have the corrosively from the elements that can cause other parts of the box to fail.

If you have accessories that have relays. You now need to mount the NON waterproof relays too. So you have the footprint of the Blue Sea, and additionally the footprint of the Relays.

When you compare both the footprints of the blue sea plus relays, then the footprint of either of the RFRM/RTMR - would be smaller.

Not saying you have to buy mine. You can build your own. I just take the hard work out of it and you just need to run some wires and get rid of the old stuff.

Look at the green link in my sig for the RFRM. The customization, tools, and time intimidate some people. Or they would rather have someone do it for them. Thats the benefit of me building one for you. You tell me what you want done and where you want the wires to be, I make the harness and build each one to order.

Wire, loom, fuses, breakers, screws, bolts, connectors, etc. Thats what I provide. I do all the leg work and put the time and effort in .

Alternatively, they make a box that is JUST FUSES that is waterproof if you wanted that and didn't need the relays.

I like a vehicle to have a more subdued look when it comes to electrical. My Dual Batterys with digital gauges would lean towards the opposite of that. But the rest of the system under my hood is mighty clean!

We should be installing the Blue Sea Fuse Blocks under our dash, or elsewhere in the cab is all I'm trying to say. Unless you make a sealed box for it under the hood or elsewhere. Ask yourself this, Why doesn't the manufacturer leave their fuse blocks under the hood open like that?

For your relays how or what did you use to tap in with the ignition switch? So that they are not hot all the time.

I installed my blue sea about 2 years ago. Everything is still operational and i live in Rhode Island so it sees all types of weather. A little di electric grease helps keep out moisture if that is a major concern.

The relays in any situation will be 'hot' all the time. They way you interrupt it is taping into a fuse that is on with ignition in your relay box.

I'm surprised you don't have one already with all the lights you have on your truck! If you need help, PM me, I came up with a swanky version (IMO) of this. both the Blue Sea boxes and RTRM boxes can be found on Amazon or e-bay. and there's guys that sell them here.

Late to the thread, but had some curious questions about the blue seas setup. So aside from cleaning up the wires for accys, does it basically eliminate you from having to wire into random components in the truck? Meaning, once the fuse block is wired, you simply wire all accys to it and setup switches? Also...what all does it come with? The heavy duty wire bundle going from the fuse block to the battery? if not comes with what did you buy to go with it?

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question, but I'm setting my fuse/relay panel up right now and I currently have the bluesea panel with 6 circuits and grounds. The switch that I have for my lightbar setup has two means of lighting the back LED up behind the switch. One would be a fuse tap into a dash light circuit, and the other is the red power wire (and respecttive ground) that I have gotten through the firewall. My question is, can I connect all of my future switch back-light led power wires to the same circuit on my bluesea fuse panel and have only that switch back-light turn on? Or do I need to designate a positive and negative bus on by bluesea for each switch as well as the accessory it comes with. Thanks for your help in advance!
