Ok so my 03 Tacoma is in for the frame issue. They gave me a double cab '15 Tacoma as loaner. That truck has a Toytec BOSS suspension kit in it and stock size tires - And it rides like a DREAM compared to my stock 03 with 265/75/16 KO2's. They are just WAY to stiff in the E load range for me..
I am having the BOSS suspension put in my truck as part of the rebuild, with the 550lb front springs. Not sure that alone will smooth out this ride..
I plan to sell the Goodrich tires and put something of the same size on it, but would like to know what you guys suggest and have experience with. Looking for an aggressive looking tire that rides like a Lexus hahah .... Thanks for the input.

It isn't the KO2s so much as the 1 ton E-load rating. Going to a 17" wheel you can run 265/70R17 KO2s in C-load. Otherwise Duratracs come in C-load in 265-75R16.

I love my KO2's in the E rating. What pressure are you running in them?? Look in to a 265 duratrac in the C rating if you are dead set on moving down to a softer tire.

Another option, on my 2003 I swapped the 16" wheels for the OEM 15" wheels from a 2000 Tacoma and than ran 31x10.5s which have a very wide selection in C, and are great for airing down off-road. Slightly smaller tire though.

    Edit, here is a photo C-load 31x10.5 KM2s

General Grabbers at2. They have an aggressive look, very similar to ko2's, and a lot cheaper. They have great road manners and quite on the highway.

What tire pressure are you running in you KO2's? I have 265/75/16 KO2's w/ the E rating and the tire shop airs them up to 35psi but I see they can take up to 80psi. Just wondering where the sweet spot is on these tires? Also what size tire are you running?

I like the Michelin LTX for on road use or the Cooper S/T Pro for a little of both.... I really don't like my KO2s either, they were an expensive mistake. They chunk too easily even in load range E and they grip average when compared to other ATs. I'll be trading them out for Goodyear MT/R Kevlars come summer.

Hankook Dynapro ATM - good off-road tire that's available in P-metric in many sizes (such as P265/75-16), so ride is as smooth as OEM tires.

I'm running 265/75/16 KO2's at 35psi with Bilstein 5100's set at 2.5. I have never really noticed it being that rough... I have also had E rated KM2's and regular KO's. It was pretty rough when I had the toytec Spacers in the front but I guess I am just used to it being a "rough ass Tacoma" lol.

Maybe the Toytec BOSS kit will tone it down a bit - I actually hope so as corporate might not be so easy to push another new set of tires through. She just went for these and new FJ Cruiser bead lock wheels -

My BFG KOs are load E and ride SO stiff. Hate them but just deal with it till there wear out. Half way there :fingerscrossed:

I have Icon ext trvl coilovers at 2.5" of lift w/ Camburg UCA's with my E Rated KO2's at 35psi. I want to go up to 3" of lift but not sure if I should or not with E Rated tires. That's the whole reason I got Ext travel coilovers. So I could have more travel and 3" of lift

I'm running these on my Taco and love them, great tire, but if you're wanting a Lexus ride from an A/T look at Toyo. I have them on my FJ and they're by far the best riding tires I've had. I just did a 1000 mile trip driving 80mph+ on them and they're awesome!
