    I think the worst thing I did with my 12V was pop a fuse.

    But it's great, because now I know what is wired to where and how to fix it.

    He just needs to make sure his + and - cables going to the battery are a big enough gauge and you'll be good.

    No wonder the poor boy won't do anything for himself, bad Internet information.

    I would think 8awg would suffice for the extension fuse panel. He'll probably need a secondary battery now, though.
