I do squats and deads in 0drop shoes (no heel lift) but I've looked at the elevated heel shoes for squatting. @tacopaulo and @dwalden2 both have a pair and I like to copy them

I don't personally wear the raised heel but also heard they would be beneficial for squats. Not so much for deads.

The gym I go to has small pieces of the rubber mats used on the floor lying around. I do slip a long narrow piece behind my heels when I squat.

I use them for squats and deadlifts. I like them. My feet feel more locked to the ground in them

Yea I've been reading the reviews on them and a lot it seems that most only use them for squats and bench and not really deads. I went ahead and bought some Adidas ones. I'll be working on my squat and deads more after watching mark ripptoe starting strength videos. Thanks for the input guys.

Not them, I got the cheaper version of them, those adipowers are super expensive, but still had good reviews. They should be here next week so I'll have a better opinion of them then.

Just found this thread! I benched 225 for 5 reps today and 250 for 1. Then 225 for 4 again! My goal is 275. Lots of protein and ON pre-workout with a small amount of creatine monohydrate. I'm 5'9" and about 175 lbs. I'm also 38 and drink too much beer but that's a whole other story!

I love my ON pre-workout. Smells like a monkey's left nut but tastes good. I'm only 1 scooping right now.

No the actual pre-workout. I have both the amino energy which I 2 scoop and 1 scoop the pre. I've been really only using the pre-workout before the gym and amino every now and then afterwards.

I pretty much use amino energy as a pre workout, 4 scoops. The Gold Standard Pre I think it has creatine in it, something I don't want currently. I need to find a stronger pre that doesn't have creatine.
