Haven't bought tires from them but i've had a couple of tire rotations done, my experience has been good so far. I noticed when I was there they had 1 guy with a torque wrench designated to around and check the lug torque before the cars left.
I'm in the market for new tires and might go to Discount or drive an hour to Les Schwab, I really like LS.

10-4, agree. My DT is a good one I think. they always hand torque the lugs when I watch through the glass. Concord Mills DT, Charlotte (Concord)

Definitely varies from store to store. My buddy used to be a tech at discount tire and those dudes were awesome. All the car enthusiasts used to bring their performance low-profile tires to those guys to get them mounted. When looking for a tire shop (I move a lot) I always search the car enthusiast forums for best places to get tires mounted as those guys are super anal about who touches their cars (ex. ls1tech, bimmerforums, NASIOC).

Its not that they screw up very much at all,it's me not trusting any shop theses day's with my life hanging in the balance.I would watch no matter what tire shop I was in,and you should too,as prevention and getting what you pay for is important.

Same results here. They have always handled my Tacoma with great care especially my after market wheels. They know the difference between lug centric and hub centric, always torque my lugs to spec and not only match any tire price I find but beat the price every time. Belton, MO Discount Tire A1 in my book.
