haha. There is a 2006 black one lifted 3" with an EMU lift at my high school and it looks sick! 20" rockstars wrapped in 32" Toyo M/T's

Because their center of gravity is already high enough.

4-runners are a verry capable vehicle off road, especially if set up right....problem is that being an suv with extra room for the kids, lots of "soccer moms" drive them (at least that's what i see)

no offence to any mothers on the forum (if we have any)

I'm actually thinking about making my girl get one so I can lift it, I would definitely drive the shit out of one. My mom had a stock 05 and I loved it when we switched cars. I should have just taken the payments over on that.

On another note, jandrews what is that video in your signature from. That is hilarious, I have to see the whole thing.

I sold my '03 4 runner limited a week or so ago. and i never considered doing any mods to it at all. it was too nice already. not the kind of vehicle you want to screw with the ride, quietness, smoothness, etc of. they are a lot more refined out of the box than tacomas. but i missed having a truck so i bought the taco! now i screw with something every time I get a free afternoon!

Speaking of which! I just saw a lifted 4-Runner a little over a month ago on the highway! It looked sick as hell!! I could see him checking out my truck in his side view mirror. He was in the slow lane going a bit slower then I was so when I passed him in the fast lane, we both had to look at each other and give a quick wave and nod!! I respected his 4-Runner and he respected my Taco. He followed behind me for a good 40 miles before we went our separate ways!! It was cool because you could tell all the people that passed us where checking out the two lifted Toyota's!!!:D

I put a 3in susp lift on a friend of mines 99 4runner and it looked sick, that thing was awesome off-road too. The 4runners use coil springs in the rear instead of leafs so lifting them is a little different than our tacoma rears..... They do ride great with the coils in the rear.
