Shit almost forgot I did a bunch today, drove up to my Dads in Kelseyville and worked on my truck while he messed with his Camaro. Good times. I mounted my rotopax, moved the jack lower, 2 fire extinguishers and an axe. Everything in the video is fastensed to the bed, my OCD is pleased for the moment.

Well boys and girls, I hope all of you around Lake Oroville are playing it safe. I haven't been on TW in the last few weeks (very busy.. got engaged! And doing 3 days a week in downtown SF as extension of staff = loooong days).
BUT, if any of you need anything that I might be able to help out with please let me know.

I am actually and environmental and water consultant based out of Walnut Creek. I toured Oroville dam several months ago and stood where there is a shit ton of water flowing right now. All I can say is the second I heard the spillway was compromised it realllllly got me worried.

Don't take chances. If you know anyone who thinks they can just wait it out I implore you ask them to reconsider. A few nights somewhere else is much better than loosing your life. There are several historic dam disasters, and none of them end well for folks who were in the way.

Good news is the main dam face seems to be doing pretty well. However, a failure of even just a few meters on the "emergency spillway" would be enough to wreak some serious damage downstream.

Anyway, stay safe out there and protect your loved ones. Property is replaceable, lives are not.

Im not sold on gray water. it will pollute are ground water. im sure that's fine in some desert areas or costal areas but in the valleys and hills no good. you would have to use 100% bio and chem free detergents and soaps and how would that be regulated. I'm no hippie but that doesn't make since to me.

Grey water gets cleaned up a lot before it's considered grey. It just isn't considered drinkable cuz of the small little poo particulates that might still be in it. Otherwise, the ground will filter that water before it gets to the water table, as far as I've learned about it.

that's reclaimed not grey. grey water is from your sinks and laundry, some think that its ok to just use this as landscape water. I think it will have long term affects.

same goes for reclaimed water except it get processed . although its far worse then grey. reclaimed water is high in salinity and is known to cause problems with ground water. farmers in cache creek have won a law suite because the casino uses their reclaimed water on the golf coarse. that water has had a negative affect on the water and soil.

I'm a little confused. Reclaimed water has been treated to the point it's safe to discharge into the bay or ocean and in theory, it's safe enough to drink at that point. Gray water is untreated so it contains anything you put down the sinks or tubs connected to the system. How could gray water be better than reclaimed if that's the case? Maybe the casino has installed a gray water system and is using that to irrigate?

I'm asking because reclaiming water a pretty big part of water treatment these days.
