Definitely give Marie at Headstrong a call or shoot her an email for pricing info, just ordered coils and 5100s from her and a Deaver AAL, the AAL is out of stock but should be back in this week. Great customer service.

dang it, im torn now... i was just about to order from Toytec, after their discount code it put me at $759.99... i try to support forum supporters, but sometimes its hard (because ive never delt with either) to pick which one, especially with good support from other members for both.

With Headstrong you are supporting a Forum Vendor, as they won Vendor of The Year on here this year. Plus Headstrong is always Free Shipping and generally cheaper.

From what I've read here, the reason it's not recommended is the diff drop on 2nd gens will rotate the diff, not really drop it. The rotation will actually put it in a position where it protrudes lower and thus decreases ground clearance slightly while the new angle it provides doesn't actually correct much.

thanks, i PM'd the toytec rep here and he said the same as you that it was more of a rotation than a drop. he said they all use it (at toytec), but if the consensus here is that its not needed (which it seems to be), i will avoid it.

BTW, i have an appointment at Toyota of Knoxville to have the rear springs replaced under warranty. i figured i would be starting off with a fresh leaf pack when i install my AAL, plus they will already have any corrosion on the fasteners taken care of. ;)

In that pic I have 5100s up front and stock coils set at 1.75", no new tires, just got those wheels and tires, they are 265/75 16s, no plans to go bigger.

well guys, i PM'd her, called the phone and got the answering machine, then emailed directly... waited as long as i could, today is my last opportunity to order before next week as i will be on the road for work and out of touch, so i placed my order with ToyTec. the ToyTec rep was very helpful, answered all my questions quickly and helped me navigate the options.
