Meh, that's not what i want to hear... Was hoping it'd be somewhat simple. I'd be fine with an electronic one vs a manual shift if it were an easier swap...

I lost interest in them after learning that they are full time 4wd, and was hoping that the swap might be an easy solution. I'm not really wanting to have to drop a ton of money up front to remove a soccer mom drivetrain.

I guess the search continues.

The T case should bolt in, same trans, but to keep the electronics happy and not have a dash lit up like christmas will be the harder part.

 

The one time I had this same experience it was exactly this:

Is it truly "full time 4WD" or the lessor cousin AWD? Don't think I have ever heard of full time 4WD in any non-military vehicle.

 

Wouldn't it work the opposite of how mine is done? I now all the computers talk to each outher but if you unplug the 4x computer that's would also be like unplugging the 4wd lights.

Plenty of 'em out there. Transfer-case + low range = 4WD. Land Rover, Toyota, and Jeep have all made full time 4WD consumer vehicles en masse.

 

May wanna get that front wheel checked out.
