I have not been able to smoke either due to busy schedules. I do make time for grilling though since that's quick. Ribeye on right now for valentines dinner. IMG_8463.jpg

I haven't done much lately either. And although it's not really smoking, I think we're all meat hounds. I caught a 4lb eye of round roast marked down and had a instant hankering for some jerky.

    Getting started slicing..

Worst part, cleaning up the slicer.

    More to follow....

I love making jerky! Although I'm still behind the times and don't have a slicer.

I've still not done the jerky thing yet. Been wanting to try it and have followed some threads on here and other places. Maybe I will get some time this summer to try my hand at it. SO MANY things I need to buy for all of this lol... Looking to upgrade the controller in the Traeger (custom build), Sous Vide, Jerky. GOING to make some of the home made maple bacon ice cream this summer. Been making my own vanilla, going to do some vanilla sugar. Man this cooking stuff is a lot of work at times lol.

Seven trays full, started at around 1:30am. Never mind the bourbon bottle in the background.

I need to do this again. What do you use to marinate or rub?
