Yep, it's becoming apparent that the high $ joints come with the hardware pack. For the longest time I felt the hardware was just getting pilfered at the dealership level.

Further, it looks as if the "change" corresponds to the introduction of the plastic "protector" skirt. The joints themselves are the same but the ones equipped with the "protector" also use a conventional bolt/washer as opposed to the flange head bolts on the non protector version.

Since the protector is one of those things with no clear point of introduction (later years) a guess would be they are just letting the end user figure out the correct bolts.

There is some body damage but not as bad as the Honda you got for a project. The biggest body damage is a dent and you can see bare metal. Was thinking about going to a junk yard and hopefully find a brand new piece to be painted and replaced and a broken lens rear taillight. But it's a Lexus that does need some work but I wanna keep it like my Tacoma.

I wish I received snow again. This year is being bipolar to the limit. 72 degrees these last few days.

Looks great! Planning on repainting the whole truck when I settled down with a good job.

My scan garage with a rebuilt denso alternator is pushing 14.00-14.30 volts about 85% of the time.

Yep, that's right about where mine sits. Most vehicles I've ever driven the needle sits slightly under the halfway point, my Tacoma has always sat right above it. Seems to be the norm from the threads I've read. I've been told that the gauge means nothing really that you need a reader and to know what the actual temp range should be to really confirm anything though.

Usually this time of year is brutal. With the inversion it's usually -10 F-ish. Today it's supposed to be around 40.

Um, no. It's okay to love your truck. But, please, don't LOVE your truck.

I would still love that weather than 70 degree weather. But I wouldn't enjoy the wear I'm putting on my engine. Though.

Treat her right this valentines day ;)
