It was always fun to go offroading in 29 Plams with a 'country boy' and his 4wd and me with my 2wd. They did not understand there is no bottom to sand and how they got stuck and I am still driving around.

Great if not on private property... maybe a four wheel drive club can organize a cleanup of the trash some idiots dumped there. That is what causes open areas to be closed to us. Tacoma time!

Okay, where were you guys? The wife and I went up there today and didn't see anyone else... IT WAS GREAT!!! Once off the pavement and heading up the hill, we saw that this was 'ACTIVE TRACTION TERRITORY'! (previously 'Rear Locker Land')

We spent about an hour and a half up there, around noon today... It was so gnarly, I even lost one of my 4X4 mud flaps... (I picked it up)... I was backing down from a grade and my back tire dropped into a ditch so the truck was resting on the spare tire and trailer hitch receiver.

A-TRAC was fantastic... pulled me right off with maybe just two tires having traction. Never used the rear locker... and from what we did up there today, I don't think I will need to (but it is there if that changes)!

Also, came down those super steep roads full of loose rocks using the downhill crawl, and that worked well, too.

I thought I had my camera, but it was at home... so no photos. That long straight road was never a runway for planes, IMO... Too short for one and not cleared wide enough... Just a straight section of construction road, now with motocross berms and junk piles. Saw a couple of Toyota mud flaps that had broken off (not Tacoma?) in the rut on that 'runway'.

We had some sprinkels while we were up there, but nothing hard. Those grove/ aquaduct roads are sure deeply rutted out from the rains... I don't think anything but a good Tacoma or a maybe a Jeep Rubicon could drive those roads.

We came out the same way we went in... couldn't find another way that looked passable. Anyone been down the road that goes towards I-15... drops steeply from the aquaduct road?
