I have the Hancooks and they have been great. Got about 10K left on them and my tire guy wants me to get those Falkens next. They look good

You swap springs and shocks? How do you like the ride?

We swapped the springs and shocks. To me it rides fine. Firmer than the bilisteins but not horrible. Glad I went this route. 100 bucks for everything but the spacer ($30).

I went from Hankook to Falken. They are very similar. I would get whichever is cheaper.

Can't beat that price with a stick! I'm new to the Tacoma scene, had a beloved '86 4runner that I built up but unfortunately had to sell, it and my '15 WRX, for a 'work truck', so here I am! Lol. Love the Tacoma though, always wanted one, just didn't see it happening this way, but such is life. Had to hunt to find a '12+ off-road 6speed for quite awhile, happy I waited though. Lots of crazy money I have found I want to spend on this truck, tires and shocks (just 5100s) I can justify to the wife for now though, headlight harness upgrade is next. Love the wildpeak though, been driving in the rain the past few days, feel great, not hydroplaning and sliding all over the place like with the rugged fails.

Just went to order from DTD and noticed they have a $75 rebate via debit card on a set of four, though they upped the price ~$10 per tire. Gotta pay $40 more to get a $75 rebate. I hate when they play stupid pricing games.

they didn't have a rebate available at the local discount tire shop. Said the only rebate was on the the new falken MTs

I was referring to the Discount Tire Direct (DTD) website. The website rebate is from them, not from Falken.

yeah, it was just interesting that the actual discount tire store doesn't offer it, but ordering them online they do. That doesn't make sense

Ah, I see. misunderstood what you meant. Do they charge for m&b in store? Also wondering if they are franchises or under the same ownership as the website, which could make a difference in promotions.

yes they do, like 17 a tire or something like that. Tire prices the same as online. It is a franchise. you can go on the actual discounttire.com site and schedule appointments and such, search for stores and whatnot. We just got one here a few months ago, thought I would check em out, but the other place ive been getting tires for a few years now is cheaper

Agreed, go in store if there's one local. I got FIVE installed, and with warranty, for 602 out the door. Just make sure you talk to a manager since they have to approve the low prices.
