ABS/Slip Indicator lights wont go off

    I got alignment today and slip indicator hasn't turned back on so fingers crossed that I'm all good

    My lights came on, I haven't had any work done to it or lift kits, 2008 sport. Any suggestions?

    If that doesn't work, come back and post up. There is a thread somewhere in here which shows you how to diagnose which abs sensor went bad, then you'll need to replace that (aftermarket I think are around $130 or so - dealer is insanely expensive). I'm not going to try to dig up that thread unless I need to. You may just need to recalibrate, especially if you just got an alignment.

    I went and found it. I actually posted this up a while ago and used this method to figure out which sensor it was. The TW post is easy to follow.

    I tried that on my 2012 after doing a small lift, to no avail. Tried two OBD II computers with no lih wither. My wife has a friend who is a Toyota mechanic. Took him 30 seconds to plug in and re-calibrate the sensor. He said only a Toyota computer can do it. The local STEALERSHIP wanted a minimum of one hour labor to do it. I had a long talk with the service manager after we had it fixed to tell him I would have gladly paid for 15 minutes of their time to do it.

    Good luck getting your sensor calibrated. It is easy with a Toyota tool.

    I don't know if it's entirely accurate that only a toyota computer can do it, simply b/c and OBDII scanner and toyota tool just taps into the same pins but uses a computer program to manipulate/short the terminal. We are just doing the same thing manually. Plus, the toyota computer is really expensive (I think in the $300-$400 range). Also, and OBDII reading is much different than the toyota tool. OBDII pulls codes and clears codes. Toyota tool can recalibrate as well. The cheap readers you get from autozone do not have that capability. I know many others on here have successfully recalibrated using this method.

    Anyhow, my second post demonstrates how to actually assess what is wrong. If there is a code stored in your abs/vsc computer, what I posted will teach you how to find that code w/o an expensive computer. I posted it so that if the recalibrate doesn't work, you can figure out if a specific sensor is bad. It's really easy and takes about 10 minutes. Good luck.
