My dream since I was 13 years old was an Early Bronco. I found this 1971 Early Bronco and it was completely rebuilt from ground up. It had Ford 351 w/ a 4-barrel and 4-speed with Dana 44's. So I took my tires and wheels off my '99 Dodge. So far so good my dream was coming true.

Then the dumbest thing I could ever do ------ I painted the damn thing and ruined it for its intended purpose. All I could do after that was sell it to some guy in Houston for a street machine.

I had a '99 Cherokee that was crazy capable. That thing would go anywhere I pointed it. And I liked the solid front axle.

My previous was a 2000 cherokee xj. 4.6 stroker lifted with 33's

thats what i would get for a rig. cheap to find, easy to work on, easy to lift, mod etc. reliable and tough.

btw they are not unibodies, they are uniframes. there is a difference, its a bit stiffer than a unibody, but obviously not like a full frame..but i never had a problem with the body flex, the suspension is so flexible it didnt really seem to matter that much other than maybe the steering box mounting is pretty weak, but thats an easy and cheap fix to brace.

they are tough, i cant believe the places i could take it even when it was open dif on crappy tires.

    Awesome find Silverback!

I've already determined that once it starts gettin warm up here, I'm on the hunt for a 84/85 4Runner. I'll probably have to go a ways to find one (I would like one without any rust or anything, so I'll mainly be looking south and west)...but summers about road trips aint it?!
