Got a quote for Line-x (over the rails) for $500 in San Diego. Does this sound a bit high? If so, are there better (reputable, cheaper) places to go in San Diego?

BTW, it doesn't have to be Line-x.

    Thanks.

Oh shoot, sorry man. I posted in the 2nd Gen forum. I have a 2007 Tacoma with the 5ft bed, although the rep told me it didn't matter.

What does that even mean? Year truck? Bed condition? Why Line-X vs something like www.monstaliner.com?

Again, apologize for the org shitpost.

For the bed, I have the stock bedliner and its in good shape but I'd like to swap it out with something like Line-x. It doesn't have to be Line-x but the place that I asked only uses Line-x. Other types would work but I'm looking at cost as well. I recall some of the posts I've seen on here were around the low $400 which is why I thought the quote I got was a bit high.

Well, a 2007 is a 2nd gen, so you posted in the right place.

On '05+ there is no 'stock bedliner'. The bed is a glass reinforced plastic composite. So there is nothing to remove and nothing to replace. Some folks do refinish with a blow on bedliner to look purdy, so it is an option.

If you are just looking to clean it up to look better, consider a DIY with www.monstaliner.com product and a nice bed mat. You could literally do the bedsides and about 6" around the parameter of the floor, let the mat cover the rest.

Thanks Bill. I did not know this as I thought the liner was one of those plastic bolt-on POSs. I love me some DIY projects, thanks again.

Not trying to be "that guy", but it's a truck bed. It's meant to be used and abused in my opinion. I guess if you're wanting to sell, it would make sense. These trucks don't have painted beds obviously, so I just don't see the reasoning behind it. I say save the money and apply it to some rock sliders or other useful mods.

I get it, it's more for when I do try to sell. I've got rock sliders and just about every other mod except a supercharger. How much is one of those? :benchpress:

Why don't you just get a bed mat? They cost less than $100 and provide a good non-slip surface for your truck bed.
