They wil let me do whatever I want to do with it. They are going to wash it up tomorrow for me and let it dry the rest of the weekend On Monday the inside is getting a liberal dose of eastwood

Well even though the frame made it in it appears the parts kit is still 3 weeks out. Did my ride along and inspection with the tech that will be doing the replacement and neither of us could find anything else that really needed attention outside of slightly leaking cam covers. Regardless I still went ahead and ordered OEM lower BJ's and bolts, all new cab bushings, tundra front brake components and a new power steering pressure line just for piece of mind. He said it was the cleanest taco he has had in for a frame swap.

Sounds like you found a good dealer to deal with!

Wow, you should really plug that dealers name here. Rarely will you find a dealer that accommodating and good to work with. Could help more folks needing a frame swap.

I just bought a 04 US truck with frame issues, I am in Canada. It does not look like the frame was sprayed. I will call Toyota Monday with the sn#

    But would like your thoughts

GL, you'll probably have to take it to a US dealership

I have a 03 from the USA and I am in Canada; it was also not sprayed by previous owner. Basically, I am out of luck on it. I just keep an eye on it and protect it the best I can. Toyota sucked to deal with due to the US vehicle being in Canada. Toyota Canada just said there was nothing they could do and Toyota USA says there was no service history at all on the vehicle.

I'm turning in my 01' tomorrow for the frame replacement... anyone know if they will replace the CV shafts free or is it an extra charge

Defrost mirrors, compass/temp display rear view mirror, rear wiper on camper shell, trans.cooler.
CV's are a normal wear item. They only replace things needed to do the frame swap. If you buy the part the mechanic's will put it on for you. Shocks are an example. They have to RR (Remove & Replace)them of anyway. Work it out with your service manager.

Just got the call about 4 hours ago that the rest of my parts made it into Toyota. The frame replacement is going to begin on Monday and I should have my truck back by the end of the week. I am beyond stoked to get it back!

See if you can get us any pics of the swap in progress. Mine sits at Toyota dealer now waiting on frame to come in.
