Kinda of topic here, but has it improved your fuel consumption?
This is all a little above me technically, but I would be willing to give it a shot if it would improve my fuel economy.
I'm down to 14 in the city and 16 on the hwy. Stock 2013 SCSB Baja package.

It's mostly for performance. It be pretty hard to squeeze better mileage out of a stock truck.

There is a specific order to plugging in your usb that the instructions say. You loaded up version 3.5 and have 3.5 firmware on the mapecu?

When you open mapcal it might throw warnings to plug in the mapecu. Play around with it a few times to get used to it. First impression always seems like it's going to self explode. Same goes you start to plug in the mapecu.

This is what i got when i try and install the usb driver... Is it because i dont have a cd rom drive? It may be installed and its just a duplicate because i already have a desktop icon for the driver but when i click the icon it takes me to my settings to install the driver... Its a never ending circle... 20170211_184301_HDR.jpg

@yota243 What version of windows are you running and are you 32-bit or 64-bit? I just installed MAPCAL and tried installing the drivers. I got the same error message from the drivers. I just took a quick look on their forum, and I think the drivers on their website are for 32-bit machines. If so, they won't work on 64-bit computers. From what is on their forum, it looks like they made a 64-bit driver last year, but it was never officially released because they don't have a 64-bit computer to test it on.

    What???

Also, I have found the solution to the 64-bit Win10 driver problem.

The drivers that MAPECU uses are from a third party. I got mine unit from @yota243 in the mail today and put the CD in my computer when I got home. I found an info file for the drivers, and it had the URL for the company that makes the drivers that they're using. The drivers on the MAPECU website are version 2.12.16 and the current driver version is 2.12.24 which supports 64-bit Win10. Goto this page (http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm) and download the "setup executable" file. Then unzip the file and run the .exe file. Direct download link: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM21224_Setup.zip

Doing this installed the drivers first try and allowed my to connect to the MAPECU. The units come preloaded with firmware for MAPCAL 3.4.x, so you will need to push a firmware update to the MAPECU to connect with MAPCAL 3.5. To do this, open MAPCAL and click Edit>MAPCAL-Configuration. In the window that opens, click the "Force Firmware Update" box; then click OK. Then click Connect. You will get a warning popup. Just click Yes and let it do its thing. I'm not exactly sure how long it took to complete because I made dinner while it was updating. It took me around 30 minutes to get dinner in the oven, and it was done when I came back to the computer.

The driver I just posted supports 64-bit Win8, so you should be good to go. If you have Windows 8 RT, there is a separate driver for that.

Yeah, I know. You posted your windows version while I was typing up my book, so I didn't see it until after I posted. Easiest was just to quote it, so you would get a notification.

    Ah....now I see what you're saying.

I quoted you because I have no idea what you are talking about with the red beans & rice comment. I tagged you out of habit when I mentioned you while telling the story of finding the driver solution.
