    I've got a Uniden 510xlpro. Had it for years and been a great radio. Get it tuned and peaked when you get it. Buy from a radio shop that can do it there.

    Don't know about in your area but the Walmart by me has a Cobra for 30 something dollars & it's small enough to fit in the console.
    I have mine in the console with an external speaker under the dash. I just pull the mic out & shut the lid, it will still shut with the cord there. I can change channels on the mic if need be but usually the group decides on a channel & it stays there.

    The company I deal with is huge. I deal with the local to me store and they carry around 75k things there. The main Atlanta store is huge compared to this one. That's where all the techs and machines are that are in stock. Ifnyou need it they usually have it in stock up there. I would imagine they would deliver within a day or so. I just need to get over there and talk to the owner and see which one I need to get.
