@SilverGhost not sure if you came up with the patch idea but I love it and be adding to em'.

Got in my LED switchbacks so I'll have to wire those in. Easier to have 1 unit than separate LEDs like I had before. Also the other little thingy is "laser." It puts a red laser line off a few feet from the vehicle on the pavement when the brake lights come on. I know I already am in contact with E.T. but this thing is cool and safer. You will be seeing more lasers on cars in the future especially brake lighting. Rapid deflators and auto deflators also to keep on board. Got the laser, deflators, and switchbacks all for about $50.

I've always been a little mislead I think with "cycling". What exactly needs to be done when cycling rear suspension. Measure when your leafs are at full droop and again when you are at full bump? But how do i know what size bumps to use? All these questions in my head as I'm about to start tearing into the rear end to do this but I'm in a maze of what to do and what not to do. Currently running dakars with aal and 10" fox 2.0s on stock mounts with wheelers super bumps with both spacers on each side :anonymous:

So if you could/want to talk about/help it would be much appreciated as im fed up with my situation. You too @Squeaky Penguin and anyone else

Well your leafs will droop a certain amount. The best way is to pull the pack apart and use a block of wood that is the same thickness as the pack when it's together. Then just bolt in the Main leaf with the wood block and droop the axle out by jacking the ass of the truck up and letting the axle fall as far as it can, leave the tires off(obviously you won't be driving like this). That'll give you your droop #'s and as for compression kinda up to you. The more negative you leaf springs see the shorter life they have. But far as im concerned in a SOA setup negative is fine. I have never had a problem and springs are wear items anyways. Most bump just a bit past negative.

Keep in mind where your ride height is too because you don't wanna be riding in your bumps ALL the time as that will suck.

    Not enough...
Authorized $750 worth of labor. Bought it for my kid last year, it's an '03 4banger with 201K miles on the clock and was a bit neglected with the maintenance. The kid is starting to drive next month, so I figured I better take care of all the leaks, belts, breaks, etc.

Still needs lower ball joins, window regulator, blower motor and a few other things, but i'll deal with that myself

Awesome that clears it up alot. And thats what i was thinking also about ride height. Dakars, these bastards are almost flat (With tent/rack on). Hopefully during spring break ill have a welder and time to measure, weld, etc. Thanks a bunch Monte, appreciate your knowledge and helpfullness.

yea Dakars are a bit flat.

But they are meant to be that way. Which is why you gotta check your own leaf pack. Shackles and AAL will change stuff too.

Yeah ive got the aal which helped a bit. Might do a 1-1.5" shackle as that would help a ton with relocating id think and would still be at a good angle.

I still have the stock muffler, so it's not much louder lol. It sounds good though, a little raspy but it should break in after a bit. I'm still working on tuning with the supercharger, but the butt dyno reports at least 10 hp.

sounds good, Im assuming thats the LCE? I have a 4 cyl and was looking at one for later down the road, lot of people say it gives some noticeable torque

Ha nice, great minds must think alike.
Sounds like you better get on that and install those bad boys. Should add some low end with the SC.

Those are TRD headers, it might be easier for the 4cyl but I wouldn't bother installing them if you're naturally aspirated. You might gain some high end hp, but the lower back pressure will reduce low end torque.
